DETAILS OF SEEKING INFORMATION FROM PUBLIC AUTHORITY

 

 

Any citizen of India can obtain information from the public authority by payment of prescribed fees along with an application addressed to the Public Information Officer (PIO) or Appellate Authority in case of first appeals.

 

Fee for seeking information

 

Payment of Rs. 10/- (Rupees Ten Only) by means of Demand Draft / banker’s cheque / Indian Postal Order (IPO) in favour of “The Director, Central Leprosy Teaching & Research Institute (CLTRI), Chengalpattu” payable at Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu. Also payment can be made by way of cash to the Accounts section against proper receipt.

 

 

 

ADDITIONAL FEE FOR SUPPLYING INFORMATION

 

The Act provides for payment of Rs. 2/- per page (A4 or A3) for information on copies of documents to be supplied to the information seeker or actual cost of large size paper and Rs.50/- per disc for providing in disc / CD. The information seeker will be advised to pay these additional charges before the information is provided by the PIO and intimation will be sent within 30 days of receipt of request for information.

 

 

* If the applicant belongs to Below Poverty Line (BPL) category, he/she is not required to pay any fee and should submit a proof in support of claim to BPL category with the application.
